Growing up in South Louisiana, surrounded by ghost stories, voodoo dolls, cajun and creole magic, the world of mystery, and enchantment was always closely intertwined with everyday life. As a child, I saw magic, and energy in action nearly everyday. This was my normal. One of the first places I began witnessing really big, “miracle-making” magic, in person, was on the football field at LSU. Hail Mary, indeed. For me, and millions of other Tiger fans, miracles happen often. –usually on a Saturday Night. Maybe the high humidity works in our favor, but energetic power is as real, and thick as roux, here. While we tend to act surprised every time the Tigers pull off another unfathomable win, are we really? Befuddling comebacks are commonplace at LSU. Down by 20 at the end of the 3rd quarter? Psssh. That's nothing for a Tiger. The 4th quarter is when the real game starts, right? –or maybe that's only the case in Baton Rouge.
So, what makes the Tigers so different? What makes them so darn magical? I’m here to tell you, it's the fans. LSU fans are the difference. LSU fans win championships. LSU fans make miracles happen. This win creating power boils down to energy, and the natural ability of the fans to swing it in the Tigers favor, over, and over, again, season after season, no matter the sport.
By recognizing this extraordinary power, we can learn how to swing miracle-making energy in our favor more often. That may sound a little woo-woo to some, but when the game is on the line, anything is worth a try, right?
